Situated right on the edge Vienna's inner city, the Messe Wien
Exhibition & Congress Center is located in the very heart of the famous ‘Prater’ recreational area. It is a mere 30 minutes away from Vienna International Airport, and the historical city centre can be reached in 20 minutes via metro.

The official Currency in Austria is EURO (€).

Passport and Visa

Some delegates travelling to Austria may require a visa (further details can be found on http://www.bmeia.gv.at/index.php?id=68107&L=1). We suggest that applicants for a Visa are made as soon as possible as wait times can be several weeks. Special letters of invitation can be obtained from the Congress Organisers upon request (eurospine2010 (at) mondial-congress.com).

Bank and Exchange

Most Austrian banks will change traveller's cheques as well as cash. Banking hours in general are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 08:00-12:30 and 13:30-15:00, Thursdays 08:00-12:30 and 13:30-17:30. ATMs are located outside most banks, cash can be withdrawn there 24/7. National and foreign Maestro cards (cash cards) as well as Mastercard, AMEX, Visa and Diners are accepted. Credit cards are also accepted by numerous hotels, restaurants, shops and gas stations.

Shopping

Shops are generally open from Monday to Friday 09:00 - 18:00 and Saturday 09:00-17:00.

Tipping

Service is usually included in the prices in bars and restaurants. Tips are always welcome and usually 10%.

Insurance and Liabilities

The organisers cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, loss, damage or accident to private property, or for additional expenses incurred as a result of delays or changes in air, rail, road or other services, strikes, sickness, weather and other causes. All participants are encouraged to make their own arrangements for health and travel insurance.

Smoking

For health and security reasons and as a courtesy to non-smoking participants, you are requested to refrain from smoking inside the congress centre.
